Scope

Types of contribution
The Journal welcomes the following types contributions:

• Research papers,
• Notes
• Letters to the Editors
• Review articles

The language of the journal is English.
The submission of Research Papers or Notes to the Journal implies that they represent original research not previously published whether in full or abridged from and that they are not being considered for publication elsewhere (a previous publication of a short preliminary communication in the form of a Letter to the Editors is possible, this fact should be, however, mentioned in a note to the title of submitted paper to the Polish Journal of Applied Chemistry). Authors of Review articles are requested to contact the Editorial Office before submission of the manuscript.

I. Preparation of Manuscript
Research Papers and Notes

1. The typescripts should be submitted in English in triplicate (one original and two copies), the lines must be double-spaced
   (30 lines per A4 Page), the margin being essential (left margin 3.5 cm i.e. not more 55 signs per line). The text must be typed on one side of the sheet only. The pages must be numbered at the top. No underlining is permitted (except volume numbers of journals in references and Arabic numeration of compounds).
2. The title of the paper should be concise and informative. It is to be typed in capital letters. Full first and last names
   of all authors are expected to be placed over the title. Under the title the institution where the work was carried out is to be indicated.
3. Subsequently, the essential contents of the paper should be briefly recapitulated in English. The English recapitulation must not exceed 10 lines of typescript. The keywords should be also added.
4. Papers should normally be divided into sections, with headings (e.g. Introduction, Experimental, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, References). Tables, illustrations and captions to them should be submitted on separate sheets.
   In the text of paper their place should be marked.
5. Illustrations for reproductions should be about twice the final size required. They must be legibly drawn and submitted in duplicate, duly numbered and provided with the names of the Contributors.
6. The texts submitted for publication must be written concisely and compactly. The Editorial Board reserves the right to delete inessential passages, to made stylistic corrections, to omit superfluous Tables or Figures, etc. The maximum length of the typescript together with the Tables must not exceed: 16 pages in the case of papers, 8 pages in the case of Notes and 4 pages for each Letter to the Editor.
7. Experimental parts are printed in brevier. The Contributors are requested to indicate in pencil on the original typescript those sections of their text in other parts in the paper which can also be printed in brevier.

Letters to the Editor
In the Section “Letters to the Editor” short preliminary communications are published, concerning particularly new, important research.

1. Introduction: In the first paragraph, the background and purpose of the research should be briefly described.
2. Experimental: A formal experimental section is not required; nevertheless, authors are encouraged to give some experimental details in the text or in a footnote. In addition, physical, spectroscopic, etc. data for important new compounds should be supplied.

Review articles
In the review articles emphasis should be on recent developments.

1. Organisation: The text may be divided into sections and subsections with headings which are to be numbered 1., 1.1., 1.2.,
   etc. The tables should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals and placed on separate sheets.
2. Formula schemes are to be numbered consecutively and placed on separate sheets. Their place of insertion must be indicated in the text.

II. Submission of Manuscript
The manuscript and two copies in English, diskette with electronic version of manuscript (Microsoft Word for Windows) and figures (in*.tif, *.pcx, *.jpg, *.bmp, *.cdr or *.xls format) should be submitted to the address given below. Publication is free of charge. No fees are paid to the authors. Authors receive 25 reprints of the paper free of charge.
